Warning Andes Campers, Santiago

!!!CAUTION!!! We expressly warn against renting a car or any other business relationship with Andes Campers!

Already after the second night in the Andes our rented car had such a huge engine failure that we could only be towed back to Copiapo!!!! The mechanics on site said that it wasn't just the alternator that was faulty, but that the engine was so badly damaged that the car couldn't be repaired in the foreseeable future.

This makes you wonder in what critical condition we took over this car!

We were only able to use the car for 5 of the 14 paid rental days. We were not offered a replacement car and no other contact was sought from the rental company.
On our (!) two (!) inquiries we received after a long 24 (!) hours the short information that in such an event the rental contract ends. We would then be refunded the money for the unused days.
To date (14.01.2024) we have not received any repayment and no contact has been sought from Andes Campers to date! Our contact attempts have been completely ignored until now!!!
